Hello hello hello! Here we go again, my top 10 songs for July 2021!
For those of you that are new here, WELCOME, this is #SnaxPack, a list of my monthly highlights/recommendations!
(It's not a requirement for any of the songs to have been released on the following month. The only requirement is for me to enjoy listening to it enough to recommend it!)

1. Vance and Suzzanne - I Can’t Get Along Without You
Origin: U.S.A.
Genre: Disco/Funk
"Vance & Suzzanne consisted of Richard and his childhood friend and fellow band member Suzzanne Slaughter, who was a background singer for many bands in New York including Sister Sledge. The result of a late night writing session between Richard and Eleton and recorded to tape the following day, the record was finished in just twenty-four hours. Yet it’s legacy lives on as one of the most sought-after disco singles in existence. Two thousand copies of ‘I Can’t Get Along Without You’ were originally pressed to test the market, with the initial plan being to re-record it again at a later date with additional strings. However, the record received such great acclaim by DJs such as Larry Levan that the idea of a re-recording was put on ice. " Kalita Records

2. Peter Cat Recording Co. - Memory Box
Origin: India
Genre: Alternative 60s Bollywood/Pop/Gipsy jazz/Ballroom
"Straight out of Delhi, PETER CAT RECORDING CO. are a fabulous quintet who have been mixing up psychedelia, indie and big band moves for a decade. When band leader Suryakant Sawhney started out eight years ago he was making gypsy jazz while spending his evenings listening to Strauss. As time went on he recruited further members – ten in all (although about half of those have since left). New recruits brought their own ideas, and PETER CAT RECORDING CO. became a broad sonic church. Bollywood is the main influence, but to some listeners its more like spectral showtunes crooned from a parallel dimension." Shindig Magazine

Recently supporting Far Caspian,Gus Dapperton and Rhye, City Park are steadily establishing themselves, gearing up for a sophomore EP in 2020 – their sound paralleling a nightly jam session in Vondelpark with Peter Gabriel and Blood Orange. Her acclaimed debut album 'Embodiment' was released in 2016 by Minos EMI/Universal Records and in 2018, her single 'Fire Away' was selected for an official television ad campaign on Canadian tv. 6. Still Woozy - That’s Life
Origin: U.S.A.
Genre: Pop
"Real name Sven Gamsky, the Californian artist has been creating music for two years and amassed a relatively small but loyal following. His sound is distinctly Woozy – a mix of indie and electro-pop, each song is accompanied by his subtle but technically perfect vocals, so that they link together in a clear musical chain, like chapters in a book. He’s also a maestro on other instruments like guitar and keyboard, mixing his skills together to create a multi-layered sound." Red Brick
