Hello hello hello! Here we go again, my top 10 songs for June 2021!
For those of you that are new here, WELCOME, this is #SnaxPack, a list of my monthly highlights/recommendations!
(It's not a requirement for any of the songs to have been released on the following month. The only requirement is for me to enjoy listening to it enough to recommend it!)

1. Jessie Ware - Remember where you are
Origin: England
Genre: Pop/R&B/electronica/soul
"Jessie Ware is a British singer-songwriter and podcaster. Her debut studio album Devotion (2012) peaked at number five on the UK Albums Chart and produced the single "Wildest Moments". Her follow-up record, Tough Love (2014), reached number nine in the United Kingdom. In October 2017, Ware released her third studio album, Glasshouse, by Island Records. Her fourth album, What's Your Pleasure?, was released in June 2020 to critical acclaim, and reached number three in the United Kingdom. Ware presents a food podcast called Table Manners with her mother." Wikipedia

2. Joesef - Thinking of you
Origin: Scotland
Genre: Pop
"Enigmatic and paradoxical: that's Joesef – the 24-year-old musician from the "bit of a shit hole" East End of Glasgow who takes you by complete surprise. His songs are packed with unflinchingly honest and impassioned lyrics and soul-warming, jazz-inspired lo-fi pop instrumentals, describing his sound as "sad boy music". He owes his confidence in his sexuality – and the emotional transparency of his music – to Glasgow’s liberality. His three singles – all of which he wrote and produced – accurately depict the wonders, woes, the trials and tribulations of being in love." Vogue

Mackampa signed a record deal with AWAL Recordings in 2017 and released his first studio album, Foreigner, in March 2020. 4. Leon of Athens - Mad Into You
Origin: Greece
Genre: Alternative/Indie/Pop
Leon of Athens is a London-based indie-pop/alternative singer-songwriter. Born in London and raised in Greece, Leon of Athens (aka Timoleon Veremis) has been in the music industry for over 10 years, and his accomplishments are a tribute to it. His debut album “Global”was released in 2015. The sophomore album “Xenos” was released in 2018. Leon writes moody, synth-laden tunes. His slick production and experimental song construction adds a level of sonic intrigue to his more politically-charged tunes.

5. Ady Suleiman - Need Somebody To Love
Origin: England, Tanzania
Genre: Alternative/Indie
"Born on the outskirts of Nottingham, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter was snapped up by Simon Cowell’s label Syco – part of Sony Music and home to artists including Little Mix and Labrinth – in 2016, but left last year after realising it didn’t quite fit.
Now it feels as though Suleiman is starting over with Memories, the name of his debut record, which is a richly woven collection of R&B, jazz, neo-soul and funk, all tied together with his sweetly-husky vocals and matter-of-fact delivery." Independent

7. Lee Hazlewood - Your Sweet Love
Origin: U.S.A.
Genre: Country/Pop
"Born in 1929, the son of an itinerant Oklahoma oilman, Hazlewood made a small fortune as a songwriter and producer for Duane Eddy before Frank Sinatra cajoled him into relaunching his daughter Nancy's flatlining career. Thanks in part to Hazlewood's unorthodox vocal coaching ("Sing like a 14-year-old girl who fucks truck-drivers"), 1966's 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin' was a colossal hit, earning Hazlewood the lasting gratitude of Frank and a generous offer from Decca: his own label, no strings attached." The Guardian
Important note: He is usually referred to as "the original psychedelic cowboy"

10. Aaron Childs - Tangerine
Origin: U.S.A.
Genre: Soul, R&B
Aaron Childs is a LA-based upcoming soul artist. Appearing out of the blue and taking the music scene by storm. Childs has delivered and impressed, with his amazing sensual vocals. Childs is the son of the jazz pianist Billy Childs and a natural-born crooner, but his debut single for Godmode, “Tangerine,” doesn’t even indicate a smidgen of his father’s genre. It’s warm with mellow R&B guitar strums and a lilting tropical beat, a flirtatious first meeting. Pitchfork
